Curriculum vitae

A Little About
Myself.

I am a postdoctoral researcher in The Faboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Material Science at Yale University. I received my B.S degree at Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran (Tehran Polytechnic) and my M.S. degree at Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran. Then I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) in May 2019, working in Shan Research Group (SRG).
My research to date has been focused on innovating soft materials and machines. My efforts include integrating materials engineering, solid mechanics, and thermal science for modeling, optimizing, and manufacturing compliant robotic mechanisms, designing and characterizing bioinspired smart materials to be used as actuators and sensors in soft robotics, and understanding mechanical instabilities in slender structures.
In doing so, my expertise has become an interdisciplinary mélange of solid mechanics, materials engineering, and thermal science, all of which are essential to impeccably bridge the gap between mechanical engineering and materials science to develop robust and efficient soft machines.
