Curriculum vitae

A Little About
Myself.

I received my B.S degree at Amirkabir University of Technology,Tehran, Iran (Tehran Polytechnic) and my M.S. degree at Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran. Then I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) in May 2019, working in Shan Research Group (SRG).

Now, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher in The Faboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Material Science at Yale University.

My research pursues innovations for the development of soft machines at the intersection of mechanics, material, and robotics. In particular, my research examines the conceptual design, advanced manufacturing, and fundamental mechanics of multifunctional composite materials, bioinspired and biohybrid structures, and robotic mechanisms to impact critical application domains such as soft robotics, biomedical devices, and wearable devices, for the ultimate goal of improving human-machine interactions.
Currently, focus of my research is on:
  • Smart Materials
  • Soft Robotics
  • Mechanics of Adhesion
  • Mechanical Instability of Thin Structures
  • Optimization
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Heat Transfer and Thermal Analysis
